2/9/10 Tuesday Truths

- Re. Snow: DS2 is off school again today (yesterday because of the roads). It's supposed to start snowing soon...another 10" expected...yay, more shoveling!

*Portions of Post Deleted For Lap Band Book

- DD got a call from a head hunter in the DC area trying to fill four different jobs...would have been perfect here, but we looked at the cost of living there and she would have been losing money to live there.

- Not sure if I mentioned DS1 has mono...he missed three days of school last week and had visits to the doctor and the hospital, but is feeling a lot better now (yes, I wanted to go get him). He's hopefully going to be home this weekend with a friend...if the snow cooperates!

Happy Tuesday!

"Back up chin." That's pretty good. I find that I'm running a little short of back up chins myself. So sorry to hear that your son is under the weather. Mono sucks bad too, I had it once in high school. Bad stuff. I hope the weather cooperates in order to get everyone to and back from your abode safely. Have a great day.

I love the drawing! (I love all your drawings.) I love that I get to read your blogs. Just a little glimpse of what I can look forward to. I never thought about whether my mattress might be too hard once I'm not as soft. It's a good question, too. I've been told I will probably want a body pillow as what I'm used to now (i.e. enough padding on my body to make things line up well) will make it uncomfortable for me when I'm smaller...

Thanks for this!

And stay WARM!

So many NSVs! Awesome! I love "back up chin" - I might have to use that one.

YES get a new mattress! You deserve it. Ours is now 7 years old but still going strong with the major pillow top. Then what you do is get the wool mattress pad - they sell them at The Company Store, Garnet Hill, etc. They are soft and fluffy and ahhhhhhhh. Maybe start with the mattress pad, then replace your mattress when you are ready.

The swimdresses - the ones I get are not the old fat lady kinds! Check out Athleta.com - and check the sale section too. I am wearing an L in most things, but had to revert to and XL for the dresses to fit the boobs.

Happy shoveling! You know you burn like 1 million calories per hour shoveling, right? ;)

Send some Snow up North PLEASE!!!! I would love to be shoveling right about now. Opps may get a light dusting tonight maybe.

Our High school Ski Team made the "States" and they invited me to go with them. How cool is that! I have been skiing with them all season I am so excited. Isn't it amazing that all our dreams are coming true.

Thanks so much I love reading your blog. imaluckydog

Hey you, thanks for the laughs..hope DS is resting and able to get home this weekend. Having lived in the DC area, it is a tough deal for a single..she'll find something better closer, one can hope. Keep smiling.

You are so funny-- I am sure you know that, too. And I feel so dreadfully sorry for you about your terrible jutting hip bones (can you detect the sarcasm?) Ha ha!! Seriously: that is an amazing sign of your slimmed-down-ness, so if you need a pillow top mattress, treat yourself if it is affordable-- or maybe get a featherbed?
Good luck, of course, I hope you'll find a way to be comfortable as you sleep-- it's important!!

OK, so I finally figured out how to delete my second picture from following you twice. *he he* It didn't help though. You're still over 75.

And I'm only on the list once. :)

PS: I posted the little drawing you made of me on facebook page. Everybody loves it. ;)

Just came in from shoveling for the second time and we're only 1/2 way done...I'm now lifting it above shoulder height...yikes!

Feather bed, Pillow top, or a wool mattress pad...oooo sounds warm in the winter!

Thanks Diva...and had I know you 'wanted' (hee hee) a portrait, I would have spent more than 10 seconds...next time I'll give you teeth!
