Too sad and too funny! :)..Say yes to the drugs! I agree. I had the multiple hole gallbladder surgery before lapband and I would have said the labpand was worse...Crazy hunh? I guess it just tell you no one can give you pain advice on anything as we all have different scales for different procedures. I know I will never go with a one hole job after reading your ordeal!! :)

Oh, BG, please get well soon! I am glad you are blogging but the tired and the pain are definitely coming through. I'm glad you got the better drugs. I know I keep saying walk walk walk (do it, dangit, do it) but I will say again, if your energy is going towards battling pain, it's not going towards healing. Say yes to the drugs! At least DH knew to and sounds like you are well on your way to getting control!

I have read in your blogs before that if you let the pain get away from you, then it's too late. So in efforts to reign the pain in, be willing to consider a second pill at 2 hours, if that helps you stay ahead of the game. I would also say get a good start now and then go with every 4 hours from then on. Medically speaking, this won't hurt. And I can say that because of taking care of my mom when her cancer was taking over her body. She, like you, tried and tried and tried to not take the pain meds and she, like you, ended up more tired and more beat down because she didn't. In her case, it led to her getting weak and dieing far more quickly than anyone anticipated. In your case, thank God, you are nowhere near death, you are just trying to get better. Keep the pain under control and you will be a zillion times better off in the whole healing process. I'm making the comparison because I want you to understand this message - pain is no joke. Do what you gotta do to beat it back.

My bad foot has led to incessant pain and incessant trips to pain specialists and various other specialists. I now actually do an electro therapy thingy for my foot, got a little machine and I plug it into my foot (pads on various nerve centers) and let it zip and zap for a little while. Prior to that, I was taking pain pills and I understand your hesitance in taking them and even your hatred of the feelings that go with them. But I will say, when I was able to take "enough", I just felt better, I had so much energy that would lead to me bouncing off of walls. Let your energy work where it needs to work, not any other way.

Ok, I'll shush. No go walk again. :)

Love you, girl! Hang in there...you are surely on the mend!!!

Oh, geez. I hope you start to feel better soon. Thanks by the way for the nomination. I haven't had time to do it, but I'm going to try tonight. Take the pain meds, and hopefully you can get some needed rest.

Even with all the pain....your sense of humor astounds me! I wish you lived near me as I could see you as my bff! I hope the pills are still working and hope you share with DH!
