- I'm a wife, mother of three, and eternal optimist. I've been skinny and obese and all the places in between (too many times). Getting the Lap Band is the best thing I've ever done for myself. BG, I think you covered all of my reasons.
I think you nailed them all!
I made the choice to have the band over GB because of risk of complications during the actual surgery. I have two little children at home and the risks involved with GB are just too high for me to consider with two children who need their mom.
