6/6/10 Intro. to the Book

Alright...listen up LBers (yes, you Sandy...she's always stirring things up LOL) because I'm Queen of Bandlandia (for a minute) and I've got something important to share today. I want you to know I'm still reading, even if I can't always comment and something came up in the blogs this week that I wanted to comment on.

I've had massive things going on since my big news on Thursday. I've actually started three different blogs; celebrating my entry into the Century Club, I took new 'After' pics (oh, and I updated my ticker and notice my new profile pic too...DD has been trying to get me to change the old one 'That's awful Mom!'), had a Party in My Fat Pants, and took some pics of what I bought to celebrate. I also decided that I'd take some time out to sit down and do the SOB questions as my thank-you for supporting me in getting to goal (I'll send it off to you soon Gen).

*Portions of Post Deleted for Lap Band Book

I thought I'd share it with you (to celebrate my 100 pounds ) as I think it sums up a lot of what you've all been talking about. I'll just leave it up this week, and please let me know what you honestly think or if you have suggestions.

I think this is excellent! I can't wait to read the book!

Love it!! Since you asked for suggestions here is one thing I noticed.

The sentence "What I want you to take from this book is learning about the choices you can make" caused me to re-read it a couple times. I know what you are trying to say, but the flow felt off a little. There might be a more powerful way to say this b/c I think it is really important.

I can't wait to read the book - and I have already started telling people about it :)

Sign me up for a copy too! And a huge congrats on the 100 lbs lost BG. I was absent for a few weeks and missed this! You are my hero for sure!

I think it sounds great but I would change from "New Banders" to just "Banders". I think all looking for this surgery before, new and veterans can all gain from it as a source of laughter and information. Good luck. Did you get lots of info about the "diet" controversy. Love the discussion. Helps us all figure this out.

I like it so far! Great idea to write a book like this! I've only heard of 1 by an actual bandster.

As usual BG it is fantastic! I have already said that as soon as it is released I will be purchasing a copy. AND I will be heading south to find you for the autograph too!

You're really a good writer, BG. Great intro.

Good for you. Before my surgery I read all the books out there for info. The best books, only 2 I found, were from people that had the surgery. And they really didn't go into as much detail as you seem to be going to go into.
I started a blog recently on my experiences and am looking for more followers. How did you get so many?
