Great post!! I really appreciate the fact that you were so prepared and that the personnel at your doctors office we so kind and understanding and most of all listened to you. I've noticed when I go for my appointments that I feel as though I am just another patient and they follow the same procedure as with every other patient and nobody ever stops to ask me if I have any questoions or issues. Bravo for you to take the initiative to get them to listen to you. I will have to try your approach when I go for my next upper G.I. and hopefully for a fill at that time. (been unfilled for 3 months and 3 to go)
Great post. Really gave me some perspective on how I view my doc. I've sometimes carped about how he is the only one available to do adjustments, but you make a good point on how that just might be a good thing.
I also have a question, BG...you had commented on my wall about how you were sore for a while. How long did it take you to feel like you were back to normal? I don't want to get refilled too soon (even though I have the appointment for the 2nd of next month) if I'm not where I should be. The whole thing with Sally really scares me...especially since her situation with the acne meds was so similar to my situation. I'm not back to good at this point, I know...although I do feel much better. But I just want to know what I might expect as far as recovery. I think your exerience might help there.
Great post and so glad you got your fill. I'm surprised it was as much as it was, honestly, was thinking maybe more 0.5cc's so I hope it works wonders for you and causes no problems.
I'm a wife, mother of three, and eternal optimist. I've been skinny and obese and all the places in between (too many times). Getting the Lap Band is the best thing I've ever done for myself. I love to laugh and I share everything (in this Lap Band Blog ). Have you heard? I'm on a new journey to pay-it-forward and with the encouragement and support of my Lap Band Groupies.........
I'M WRITING A Lap Band BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Join Me!
