  2. I am a little scared of maintenance as well, like there will be a day I wake up and won't have to think about losing weight?! what? what will I do? what will I blog about etc.

  3. With an analytical process like that you should have no trouble developing a maintenance plan! Consider involving your lapband doc in this process, too.

  5. BG-thanks for that post. It was wonderful. I thought we could forget about thinking about anything weight related but I guess I'm wrong unless I develop Alzheimer's.

Too funny about the Negative Nancy comment-I had never heard of it, but guess what-the one sister I can't stand and who is always negative-her name is Nancy.

I will now have to add, Think about Maintenance and how I will feel when I get to goal to my long list of things to do. BTW I am at work and couldn't find any wine.

I hope your day gets better and you start singing that happy tune I usually hear from you.

  6. Okay. Confession time. I did start rolling my eyes a little bit at the beginning of your post. But then I started thinking about how I'd feel if I didn't have to lose weight any more. Such a big part of my life is around losing weight so to have that gone could cause a void. But since I'm so far from that happening, it's hard to even wrap my mind around it - but I understand your point. Great post.

  11. You know, I'm really glad I read this now, and I hope I don't forget it by the time I'm getting close to goal. That is a long time from now, but I'm sure that when I get there, I'll be feeling a lot of this. Scary. But fun to think about. Kind of like winning the lottery.

  13. Hey! Well, I've written a lot about being afraid to admit to finally losing the weight and my fear of maintenance. It all makes you just want to grab a bag of chips and a bowl of nacho dip and eat it all until either the food disappears or your fear and anguish disappears! So, girl, I am right there with you.
It's a journey so I guess this is what we should expect..
BUT...geez...there's so much to think about!!!
    Thankfully, my band accepts wine...;-)
    Love your blog!
    Onward!

  14. Nope, no ice for me thanx. Keeping my blisters from festering by hanging on to my margarhita. Hay, at least it's green. hee hee.

On a more serious note......wow. Eye opening. As always my friend you've made us all think. And that's a good thing.
